Check Out What’s Going on This Month:

Protect Trans People
This year’s Trans Day of Visibility felt more urgent than ever, as trans people face escalating attacks across the country. In our fight for reproductive justice, it is essential that we center trans voices and experiences. If trans people are denied bodily autonomy, the right to control one’s own body is at risk for everyone—including those with the capacity for pregnancy. Our liberation is interconnected, and we can only win by standing together.

Self-Care
Self-care is an intentional practice that roots us in the present despite the oppression we may face. Regular self-care is essential for sustainable and effective activism.
Here are our self-care tips for April:
-
Call up someone you care about. Keeping in touch with some of the people we care about the most can often slip through the cracks as we navigate our busy lives. Whether it's a voice or a video call, take some time to reach out to someone and check-in. Yapping can absolutely be a form of self-care. – Jasmine, Media Research Manager
-
Stop and smell the roses. This time of year is bursting with new life — from baby rabbits to new blossoms. I’ve been intentionally taking time to observe it all this spring, and it’s added a bit of joy to my days and made me feel more connected to other living things. Take a few minutes this week to observe a bee or a bird outside your window or stop to take in a blooming tree in your neighborhood! – Victoria, Associate Director of Local Strategies
-
Grow through it. Whether it's in your backyard, in your house, or as part of a community garden, growing plants can provide some much-needed joy during this difficult season. This year I'm focusing on growing flowers, including a selection of native flowers good for pollinators outside, and a magnolia bonsai inside! – Kieran, Senior Strategic Research Director
See you next month!
