| Since my election to the Virginia Senate in 2019, I have maintained a 100% score from VCDL based on my support of legislation to preserve the constitutional right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. Just as important, though, is our obligation to oppose efforts that infringe on this right. In 2020 and again this year, we saw an onslaught of gun control bills from the Democrat-controlled Senate and House. Fortunately, this time we have an ally in Governor Youngkin who was ready to put his veto pen to work and prevent even more bad bills from becoming law.
