Saturday was an amazing day. I’m still in awe of the photos and videos I’ve seen from across the country—and even abroad. From New York to Utah to Iowa to Minnesota to New Mexico to Florida, AFT members, families, students and community allies came together with so many others to send a powerful message to President Donald Trump and Elon Musk: Hands off our futures.

I was proud to stand with thousands in the streets of Philadelphia—the birthplace of American democracy—to say: Hands off our public schools. Hands off our jobs. Hands off our Social Security. Hands off our Medicare. Hands off collective bargaining.
