It’s happening again, John:
The Trump administration called a valuable government program “DEI” and tried to shut it down. This time, we’re talking about $65 million in grants for teacher training, especially in low-income and rural K-12 schools.
After states sued and a lower court temporarily blocked the cuts, Trump went crying to his far-right friends on the Supreme Court asking them to intervene.
On Friday, the right-wing majority on the Court (including all of Trump’s hand-picked justices) ruled in the administration’s favor, allowing the $65 million in grants to remain suspended — for now.
As litigation continues, we can’t sit back and just watch Trump hurt our children’s education while undermining the lower courts.
