Hey John, Andrea here (I'm Ted's partner).
I wanted to take a quick break from our campaigning and marching these last few days, to send you a personal message.
Ted's a pretty humble guy, so I wanted to make sure you heard about his accomplishments from someone who's been by his side through it all for the last nine years.
When Ted was elected mayor of Clarkston, he went straight to work to make our city the progressive and inclusive place it is today. He paved the way for a more diverse city council, increased the local tax base, made it a more walkable, bikeable community, and raised the minimum wage to $15 per hour.
Now, he's made the courageous choice to run to bring progressive leadership to the next highest level, the DeKalb County Commission Super 6 district, representing more than 350,000 residents - but he needs your help. Will you chip in $16 to Ted's people-powered campaign?
Watching Ted pour his heart and soul into serving the people of Clarkston as their mayor has been so inspiring. His dedication, his compassion, and his progressive values are exactly what we need in a County Commissioner and a local elected leader.
And I know that as the first millennial DeKalb Commissioner, he will breathe new life into the chamber and enact the systemic changes our society so desperately needs right now. (After all... you'd be hard-pressed to find any other elected leader who's been personally mentored by Antoni, Tan, Karamo, Bobby, and JVN.
As you may know, Election Day is Tuesday and this is a make-or-break moment for Ted's campaign. If we can fully fund our Get Out the Vote plan, we can win without a run-off. Meaning Ted can get to work even sooner and push forward the reforms we have spent recent weeks marching for and speaking out about.
Join me in supporting Ted for DeKalb County Commission, a local leader who will fight for local change now. Please support Ted and contribute now.
