John,
I want to thank you.
Because of your support, we hit our end-of-quarter fundraising goal. And in a moment like this — when our democracy feels so fragile, and our freedoms are under relentless attack — your support means everything.
Since Trump’s so-called “Liberation Day,” the American people have been hit with a manufactured economic crash, skyrocketing uncertainty, and escalating chaos — all orchestrated by a man who puts power and vengeance over the well-being of the people he was elected to serve.
Make no mistake: this man is not interested in leadership. He’s interested in sabotage and revenge. And it is harming American families every single day.
And the GOP is helping him every step of the way. They’ve slashed food assistance. They’re gutting protections for working people. They’re openly plotting to rip away Social Security and Medicare.
And now — in perhaps the most chilling development yet — they are literally disappearing people from the streets. Peaceful protesters. Political opponents. Legal greencard holders — taken, in broad daylight, and sent to undisclosed locations that human rights experts are calling modern-day torture prisons.
It’s crucial that we call this what it is: the authoritarian playbook in action.
And that’s why I was so inspired — like so many of us — by Senator Cory Booker’s history-making filibuster last week. Twenty-five hours of courage, moral clarity, and truth-telling in the face of extremism.
He reminded us, “The power of the people is greater than the people in power.”
His words weren’t just powerful — they were a call to action. A call to keep fighting.
So yes, we hit our fundraising goal. That’s an important part of the campaign, but by no means the MOST important. We need to keep building. Keep organizing. Keep standing up — even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.
If you’re able, I hope you’ll recommit to this fight today. Make a donation. Sign up to volunteer. Talk to your neighbors. Speak out.
Because this moment isn’t just about politics. It’s about who we are — and who we’re willing to be for one another.
Thank you for standing with me. Let’s keep going — together.
With strength and gratitude,
Julie
