Dear John xxxxxx,

Emgage Action, along with No Business with Genocide and the Sudan Peace Coalition, would like to invite you to participate in our upcoming Sudan Advocacy Week, taking place from April 14-18, 2025. This critical initiative aims to raise awareness among members of Congress and their staff about the ongoing crisis in Sudan and to advocate for meaningful policy measures, including sanctions, increased humanitarian aid, and diplomatic engagement. We will also be asking our elected officials to pass a number of Sudan-related bills that have recently been introduced.

We need volunteers to help us make an impact. If you are passionate about advocating for Sudan and want to be part of these important conversations, we encourage you to sign up as a volunteer to attend meetings. We are especially looking for individuals with a Sudanese background who can share their personal narratives and experiences, helping to put a human face on the crisis and influence policy discussions.

What to Expect:

  • Meetings will be scheduled throughout the week (April 14-18) from 10.00 AM to 4.30 PM EST.
  • Volunteers will receive their assigned congressional meetings once they register.
  • A mandatory training session on congressional advocacy will be provided on Monday 14 April from 9.30 AM-11.00 AM to ensure that all participants feel prepared and confident in engaging with policymakers.
