A little about me: I grew up in a middle-class family with parents who taught me a lot about the importance of hard work and education.
I took those values all the way to the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), and then to Wayne State University Law School, where I received my JD. Immediately after taking the bar, I started working in the Wayne County Prosecutor's office.
As a prosecutor, I fought for justice in the Special Victims Unit.
Now, I'm running for Congress to fight for a better future, not just for my family but for yours too!
And with all the chaos we've seen from the Trump Administration in DC, I'm working my hardest to let folks know I understand the biggest issues we're facing right now:
As a mom, I know how hard it is to balance a household budget: the cost of daycare, a mortgage, groceries and all of our bills that add up. That's why it's so important that we elect a congressperson who's going to lower costs for working families.
As a prosecutor, I've seen how our justice system can work for our most vulnerable. That's why it's so important that we elect a congressperson who will do more to protect those at risk from MAGA's extreme agenda.
And as a member of our community, I've already started to see the negative impact the Trump Administration's dangerous policies — like gutting Medicaid, Social Security, and the Department of Education — have had on Southeast Michigan. That's why it's so important to elect a congressperson who's holding themselves accountable to our people, not any of the GOP's ultra-rich donors.
John, the MAGA majority in Congress is so slim that every seat will matter.
