President Trump’s tariffs are rupturing the global economy, friend.

But Mark Carney and our Liberal team have a plan to fight, protect, and build.

This morning, Mark Carney announced our plan to deliver the urgent economic support that seniors and retirees need in this global crisis.

With the revenue from Canada’s counter tariffs, we’ll help Canadians weather the storm by:

- Protecting retirement savings by reducing the minimum withdrawal amount by 25% for one year, to give seniors more flexibility when drawing from their Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF)
- Increasing the Guaranteed Income Supplement by 5% providing up to $652 more over the coming year, tax free to low-income seniors
Together, we’ll fight for the economic security of Canadians, protect their incomes and savings, and build the economic conditions for resiliency and recovery.

Pierre Poilievre is the wrong choice at the wrong time. While he continues to rip pages out of Donald Trump’s playbook during this crisis, Mark Carney and our Liberal team are the leadership that will stand strong against these tariffs, and build a stronger Canada.

Chip in now to meet the moment and build a stronger Canada with Mark Carney:
