Especially during this current political climate, Congress should proactively take steps to protect the health and safety of voters, because nobody should have to choose between their health and their vote.
In preparation to mark 7 years since the Supreme Court ruling in Shelby County vs. Holder, which allowed states to enact barriers to voting with impunity, our virtual rally will include a discussion of these obstacles and how they impact communities across this country, especially communities of color.
Speakers will also discuss how activists can engage senators and urge them to pass at least $3.6 billion in funding and the reforms in the HEROES Act to implement programs and invest in resources that can protect voters and our elections.
