Llangynwyd Rangers Clubhouse

It was fantastic to visit Llangynwyd Rangers to see the new facilities they have opened.

Thanks to UK Government funding, the Cymru Football Foundation have invested £400,000 into the new facilities.

The existing clubhouse has been fully renovated to provide an inclusive space for the club and the wider community at Llangynwyd playing fields.

Great to see the club bringing the local community together!

Ty Tanglwyst Dairy Farm

It was a pleasure to visit Ty Tanglwyst Dairy Farm this month! The Lougher family have been running this farm for the last 4 generations, keeping a herd of pedigree Holstein cows. They have won a number of awards for their produce, which includes fresh cream, butter, milk and local honey as well.

We are really lucky to have this family run farm in our local area!

You can order their Welsh dairy products and honey from their online shop below 👇

NPT Dementia Hwb

It was great to pay a visit to the DementiaHwb at Aberafan Shopping Centre and meet with the team there to discuss the vital work they do to support those with dementia and their families in our community.

Over the last year they’ve been open, they’ve had over 1,500 people through their doors.
We are really lucky to have this Hwb in our community.

Port Talbot SME Roundtable

I was delighted to recently welcome Renaissance and Progressive Britain to Aberafan Maesteg for their latest roundtable with small-and-medium businesses, with valuable contributions from FSB Wales and HMV Catapult.

We heard great contributions on what government at all levels can do to support local businesses. These views will feed into a report the think tanks will present to policymakers.

I set out why small businesses are key to growth and good local jobs .

Afan Waste Water Treatment Centre

Great visit to Afan Waste Water Treatment Works, here in Port Talbot.

I enjoyed having a tour of the site and learning about the process involved in treating our waste water.
Interesting discussions around the potential of harnessing the by-products of biowaste, both for fertiliser and for bio-gas.

Big opportunity to strengthen our energy security whilst reducing our energy bills.

St. David's Day Events

It was lovely to attend two St David’s Day events this month, one hosted by my colleague Jo Stevens in her role as Secretary of State for Wales, celebrating Welsh businesses.

Thee other hosted by the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street, to celebrate constituents from all across Wales.

House Magazine

Transforming adult social care is not just about adding years to people's lives; it's about adding life to their years.

It was great to talk to House Magazine about our incredible social care workforce - who use hand, head & heart to deliver dignity & worth to life everyday.

Advice Surgeries

I held advice surgeries in Baglan and Kenfig Hill this month, speaking to constituents about a range of topics and helping them to resolve issues they were having on everything from antisocial behaviour to employment rights issues and a whole range of others too.
