Wishing you a great week ahead 40-Hour Core Advocacy Training: Strengthening Advocacy in Tribal Communities The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) warmly invites you to participate in our 40-Hour Core Advocacy Training. Whether you're an experienced advocate or just starting your journey, this state-certified training equips you with the knowledge, skills, and culturally responsive tools needed to provide trauma-informed advocacy and crisis intervention within Tribal communities. Over three engaging days, you will: · Explore the historical and systemic roots of violence · Gain critical insights into legal advocacy · Develop strategies for self-care and sustainability in this work Training Highlights: 📅 Day 1: Foundations of Advocacy & Crisis Response 📅 Day 2: Legal Systems, Policy, & Advocacy 📅 Day 3: Systems Change & Sustainability in Advocacy This interactive virtual training offers the chance to connect with fellow advocates, engage in meaningful discussions, and leave with actionable skills to better serve Native survivors and families. 💻 Location: Virtual (link provided upon registration) 📦 Participant Materials: A training box will be mailed to all registered participants, please ensure you provide a valid shipping address upon registering. Register Legislative Advocacy Training Virtual - ZOOM We invite you to join the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) for our upcoming Legislative Advocacy Training hosted by our Policy & Advocacy team. 📅 Date: Thursday, April 17, 2025 🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 2 PM (MT) This focused training session will provide an overview of legislative advocacy, including: · How a bill becomes a law in New Mexico · How to identify and connect with your state district legislators · Advocacy best practices · A review of bills CSVANW has supported in previous sessions By deepening our understanding of the legislative process, we move closer to our mission of eradicating violence against Native women and children. Through education and collective action, we champion social change and strive to create violence-free communities where Native families can thrive.
