Hi John, This afternoon, our co-chair Michelle Obama addressed our nation’s high school and college graduates during a virtual commencement celebration. This was the first time she addressed the nation since the wave of protests against police violence and systemic racism swept the country. In such a critical time, I wanted to make sure you heard from her directly. In her remarks, Mrs. Obama said to the Class of 2020, “It’s your time now... It’s up to you to couple every protest with plans and policies with organizing and mobilizing and voting.” But young people can’t carry this burden alone -- we must all come together and take action to create lasting change. Share on Twitter Share on Instagram Long-term, sustainable, and systemic change happens when Americans combine the power of activism with making their voices heard in elections. During this difficult and unprecedented time for our country, we must remember that if we work together, organize, and vote in bigger numbers than ever before, we can create the types of communities and country that we want to build. Thank you for all you are doing for our democracy in this challenging time. Sincerely, Kyle Kyle Lierman CEO When We All Vote |
