I believe that representation matters. That if we want to harness the energy of this moment and effect real, lasting change, we need to take a hard look at who’s at the decision-making table in Washington—and whose voices are missing.
That’s exactly why I founded Off the Sidelines: To give women, particularly women of color, the platform, resources and support they need to run for office and win.
So today, I want to introduce you to two phenomenal women running to break barriers and flip their House seats: Jackie Gordon (NY-02), and Joyce Elliott (AR-02). Please, take a moment to get to know Jackie and Joyce, and then split a donation between their campaigns. [[link removed]]

Jackie
Gordon
is
a
Jamaican
immigrant,
a
U.S.
Army
combat
veteran,
a
teacher,
and
a
community
advocate.
She’s
running
for
an
open
House
seat
(vacated
by
Rep.
Peter
King)
that
Cook
Political
Report
calls
one
of
the
most
competitive
of
the
cycle.
With
your
support,
Jackie
can
finally
flip
this
House
seat
on
Long
Island
blue.

Joyce
Elliott
grew
up
in
the
tiny
community
of
Willisville,
Arkansas,
where
she
graduated
high
school
in
a
class
of
nine
students.
Joyce
worked
as
a
teacher
for
30
years
before
getting
into
politics—and
as
a
state
senator,
Joyce
has
been
recognized
as
one
of
Arkansas’
top
legislators.
If
elected,
Joyce
would
be
the
first
person
of
color
to
represent
Arkansas
(the
only
former
Confederate
state
that
hasn’t
elected
an
African-American
member
of
congress).

Both Jackie and Joyce are members of the DCCC’s highly competitive “Red to Blue” program—evidence that these are races we can win. But it’s going to take serious resources to flip these historically red seats.
Please, split a donation between Jackie and Joyce’s campaigns today and invest in women’s leadership. [[link removed]]
It means the world to me to have your support on this,
Kirsten
