Today on International Asexuality Awareness Day, we recognize and uplift asexual individuals—those who experience little to no sexual attraction—while challenging misconceptions about what it means to be asexual. Asexuality exists on a spectrum; some asexual people may still experience romantic attraction, while others may not. But one thing remains true: asexual identities are valid, and asexual young people deserve to be seen, heard, and supported.
Understanding asexuality is key to fostering an inclusive world where every identity is acknowledged and respected. Our Understanding Asexuality Guide offers insights into what it means to be asexual and how to be a supportive ally to asexual young people.
