Trump 2.0 & his billionaire backers have declared open war on immigrants, workers, students, and anyone else who refuses to lick their boots. How do we build the power we need to fight back and win? By joining an organization that puts the working class first: Democratic Socialists of America, or DSA.
DSA isn’t just the largest socialist organization in a century—it’s a member-led, member-organized, multiracial working class movement fighting for economic democracy and a world that works for all of us.
DSA-LA covers five branches across the county: the Westside, Eastside/San Gabriel Valley, San Fernando Valley, Central, and South Central/Inglewood. Over 3000 working class people are proud to call us their political home, and we’re working to grow that number every day.
As Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez prepare to roll into town next week for their Fighting Oligarchy tour, we’re here to carry the organizing forward after the rally’s done. If you’re not already a member, now is the perfect time to join!
Here’s what we’ve accomplished together:
📣🗳️ We helped elect four socialists to Los Angeles City Council and two on LAUSD School Board, a historic bloc championing the working class.
🏘️💰🦋 Since 2020, we have passed transformative policy to protect tenants, raise wages for workers, and make Los Angeles truly a sanctuary city.
🌱🌎 We are organizing for a Green New Deal and fighting for climate justice across the city.
✊ We are demanding an end to genocide in Gaza by pushing for an arms embargo and divestment from institutions funding Israel, as part of our work for a free Palestine.
🔨💪 We organized in our unions and workplaces to defend our communities from fascist attacks.
But we’re just getting started. To take on the fights ahead—from organizing workers into a fighting labor movement to expanding our campaigns for housing, climate justice, queer organizing, and more—we need you.
Join DSA to seize this moment. Together, we can organize to win an economy that works for the working class—not fascists and corporate elites.
Want to know more about what it’s like to organize in DSA? Join us for a DSA 101 this month across all our branches. Bring a friend—or two, or three!
Together, we can build the political home we deserve. Don’t get discouraged. Don’t fall prey to apathy. Don’t mourn—organize!
In solidarity,
DSA Los Angeles
