Hi friend --

In March, Congress approved $175 billion in emergency relief aid to health providers across the country to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. It's now June, and the Trump administration has yet to distribute most of the funds.

Almost $100 billion is still gathering dust as 1,900 health centers across the country have temporarily closed. The Department of Health and Human Services' excuse for the delay? They're struggling with "concerns that these distributions be allocated fairly, transparently, and with appropriate oversight into the process."

Maybe if Trump hadn't fired the federal watchdog tasked with overseeing coronavirus relief funds, the HHS would have the "appropriate oversight" necessary to give hospitals the money they sorely need.

But clearly the Trump administration isn't acting with any degree of urgency to fix the mess they caused -- help us speed them along? Tell us:
