Since I began my run for Congress a year ago, I've been honored to have received the endorsements of so many progressive champions and organizations I admire.

Most recently, I received the endorsement of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who herself took on an out-of-touch, entrenched incumbent back in 2018 — and won.

But today, I'm hoping to get an endorsement from you as a valued member of this grassroots movement. Will you take a moment to add your name and endorse me for Congress?

I'm running for Congress because I believe NY-16 deserves a representative who not only fights for them, but who also cares about them.

Incumbent Representative Eliot Engel has failed to produce results for New York, voting in favor of Wall Street and prisons for the past 30 years.

Up until recently, Engel has been completely absent, hiding in his home away from his constituents in Maryland — all while NY-16 was suffering through the worst of the coronavirus pandemic.

The very day he got back, he was caught on hot mic at a Black Lives Matter rally in the Bronx, telling the borough president twice: "If I didn't have a primary, I wouldn't care."

The people of NY-16 want change in our district. But it's not easy work challenging an incumbent — even one who blatantly says on camera that he doesn't care.
