“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.’ Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me. So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

A lot of times we feel the need to power through hard times and put on a brave face. Show everyone around us that we’re strong and capable of handling anything thrown our way.

But Jesus tells us explicitly that His power is made perfect through our weakness, not our strength. He doesn’t leave us to be strong enough on our own. He doesn’t expect us to handle it by ourselves. He wants us to come to Him and let Him be our strength. He is enough for us.


We can take pleasure in the pain and count the hardships joy, because that is where His power is perfected.

Don’t try to do it all on your own - accept your weaknesses and then let Jesus be your strength.
