ACTION SPOTLIGHT

Save Our Forests From Being Axed

What’s next on President Trump’s chopping
block? Forests — he recently issued two executive orders that
seek to expedite widespread logging of federal forests, treating
them as little more than tree farms.

These reckless orders will make communities more vulnerable to
wildfires, increase air and water pollution, jeopardize critical
habitat for endangered species, and exacerbate climate change.

Your members of Congress can help — but
they need to hear from you NOW. Tell them to take a stand and
stop attacks on our federal forests! ( [link removed] )

CAMPAIGN UPDATE

Courtroom Victory for Endangered Rice’s
Whales

A federal court ruled late last month in
a case brought by NRDC and our partners that the Interior
Department’s approval of a massive offshore oil and gas lease
sale in the Gulf of Mexico violated the law by failing to assess
risks posed to the climate and to critically endangered Rice’s
whales.

With the Trump administration’s "drill,
baby, drill” mentality, it's more important than ever that the
courts continue to uphold the law. The decision marks a major win
for the Rice’s whale and other imperiled marine mammals, Gulf
communities, and NRDC supporters like you who help us carry on
legal fights like this.

Get the latest on NRDC’s courtroom
battles to defend our environment from the Trump agenda. ( [link removed] )

DEEP DIVE

How Trump’s EPA Rollbacks Will Cost Us —
in Dollars and Lives

The Trump administration recently
announced plans to nix billions of dollars in contracts for
energy efficiency upgrades, shutter all of the country’s
environmental justice offices, and roll back dozens of critical
environmental regulations. These safeguards protect all of us
from dirty air, toxic chemicals in our drinking water, and the
worst impacts of the climate crisis. Here’s what it’ll cost us,
and how NRDC is fighting back. Read more > ( [link removed] )
