Earlier this month, our endorsed candidate, Judge Susan Crawford, defeated Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s pick in a race to decide control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

And earlier this year, other Democracy Defenders won special elections in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Virginia that ensured Democratic or shared control of key state legislative chambers.

Election results like these aren’t just victories for democracy — they’re also critical milestones in our 10 Year Plan to end gerrymandering and secure fair maps across America.

We do the legwork to identify precisely which state-level seats can most effectively counter Republican gerrymandering and anti-democracy agendas across the country. We endorse Democracy Defenders in races for those seats. And when we work together, we can help power those pro-democracy champions to victory.

Winning elections is one vital piece of the puzzle. The NDRC is the only organization that has a comprehensive plan to finally secure a long-term victory for fair maps through:

1. Developing state-of-the-art mapping capabilities

2. Shifting and building power in the states
