Dear Jack,
I hope you have had an excellent start to April! We have had a busy week and are excited to share the details with you! I hope to see you out in the community!
Reconvene Session
On Wednesday, the General Assembly returned to Richmond for the Reconvene Session, where we examined the Governor’s amendments and vetoes on this year’s passed legislation. This year, the Governor sent back 159 amended bills, 205 budget amendments, eight budget line-item vetoes, and 157 vetoed bills. If you want to view some of the debate from the Reconvene Session, click here to my veto speech! While you are there, follow me on social media for daily updates! [[link removed]]
Depending on the action taken by the Governor, the General Assembly may be called back into a special session to address concerns with the state budget and if there are any shortfalls in projected revenue.
If you want to learn more about the legislation from this past session, which bills were signed, and which ended up were not successful, you can go to the Virginia Legislative Information System (LIS)’s website. My 2025 Legislation
With Reconvene finished, I can now give a final update on my legislation in 2025: as of April 2, 2025, eight of my bills have been signed into law. These are measures designed to tackle important issues, including economic opportunity, providing our children with a world-class education, and keeping our communities safe from gun violence. Experiencing Delays in Federal Programs?
With the new administration and its changes to federal programs, we want to know if you are experiencing any difficulties or delays. For example, if there are unforeseen slowdowns or disruptions to disbursements of federal funds such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, or benefits from the Veteran Administration, please report them using my office’s constituent service form:

Resources for Federal Workers
With the recent layoffs conducted by the presidential administration, many families in our community are in limbo regarding where they will find relief or new employment opportunities. My office has put together a resource list for Loudoun County including state and local relief options for those who have been recently laid off. We will work to update this list with additional services as necessary. Click on the button below to view our page on Resources for Federal Workers.

Commending and Memorial Resolution Requests
One of my greatest honors as a Delegate is being able to celebrate residents of HD-27 who have displayed local, state, or national distinction through resolutions. My office can put in commending and memorial resolutions during the primary legislative session or a special session. If you know someone or a community organization in the district that you think deserves special recognition, please fill out the form below, and a member of my team will reach out to speak about the request.

How My Office Can Help
Navigating state agencies can be confusing and difficult at times. As your delegate, I can help you communicate with state agencies such as the Virginia Employment Commission, Departments of Taxation, Social Services, Transportation, and more! I can also submit inquiries with those agencies on your behalf and help you engage with the state agency you need. There are limits to what I can do, however. For example, I am unable to expedite cases or force state agencies to favor your inquiry, provide legal advice or recommend a specific attorney, intervene with judicial issues, overturn decisions, or be involved with matters involving private businesses.
Whether you want to bring an issue to my attention, need my office’s assistance, or want to invite me to a community event, please reach out! If there is any way I can assist you, please let me know here: [link removed] [[link removed]]
