John, Like many of you, I’m deeply concerned about the impact these new tariffs will have on Americans.
No matter how the White House tries to spin it, tariffs are a tax increase on the American people. They’ve never worked for our country - and I don’t believe they ever will.
Trade makes America stronger and more prosperous. We sell our goods - including the agricultural products that help feed the world - because American innovation and productivity are second to none.
We want free trade, but it has to be fair trade. That means negotiating from a position of strength - not by slapping tariffs across the board that end up hurting our workers, farmers, and families.
