Those are the words Sen. Cory Booker spoke as he began the speech that broke the record for the longest Senate floor speech in history — referencing Georgia’s very own Rep. John Lewis.
And I believe John Lewis would be incredibly proud to watch as Sen. Booker’s protest against Donald Trump’s extremist agenda broke a record previously held by someone filibustering against the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
