Americans are watching Donald Trump push his dangerous, extremist agenda —
and instead of standing up to him, Democratic leaders like Chuck Schumer
are caving in.
Schumer had the power to stop Trump’s reckless government funding bill
that handed a blank check to Elon Musk, gut critical programs like Social
Security and Medicaid, and stripped Congress of its power to control
public spending. Instead of striking it down, he forced Senate Democrats —
and the American people — to swallow it.
That’s not leadership — that’s surrender.
Voters want to see Democrats fight for democracy, for working people, for
the truth. Not roll over when Trump comes knocking.
We can’t afford weak leadership in a moment like this. If Chuck Schumer
won’t stand up to Trump, he needs to step aside and make room for someone
who will.
