Friend,
As many of you know, I have a few tats. While they all have a special meaning to me, I thought I’d share the story of the one on my back — inspired by “The Cincinnati Cobra,” Ezzard Charles.

While I wouldn’t describe myself as a “cobra” in the ring, I did pick up boxing in 2013. The tattoo on my back, from the poem “Seven Hills and a Queen to Name Them,” reads, “to jab, weave, and strike.”
This is the strategy I like. Don’t swing at everything. Don’t throw a punch all the time. Choose your battles wisely. It’s been a good metaphor for me in life and politics.
I’ll never back down from a fight when it’s right for Southwest Ohio. Will you chip in $5, $25, or whatever you can to help keep me in the ring?
Thanks for joining me.
Appreciate you,
Greg
