What’s the 1630 Washington, D.C. Trip all about?
This trip is an opportunity to grow as the leader God is calling you to be. Through visits to historic landmarks, meetings with government leaders, and fellowship with like-minded peers, you'll gain insight into how you can make an impact in our country.
Our young adults from the last two trips have returned home with a deeper understanding of leadership and have already begun applying what they learned in their own lives. Check out the testimonies of some of our past participants:

Ella Luckhardt, Tennessee: “I have been challenged to consider what unique giftings God has given me that He might desire to leverage to bring healing to the U.S. Like the creators of the Old Testament exhibit, I know that I must be obedient to God so that He might be glorified through the work of my hands. I learned that complacency is simply not an option. As Bunni Pounds said, when my grandchildren ask me “where were you,” I will say I was on the front lines.”
Joseph Porter, Texas: “During the “vote” day, I felt a real conviction in my calling to public service. Speakers like Paul Teller, Tim Goeglin, and Scott Parkinson all had an astoundingly similar message for me. The Christian conservative movement in D.C. exists, and it needs my help to flourish.”
Emma Ahlgrim, Illinois: “I had always felt called to my current job prospect of being a police officer, but recently have also felt called specifically to fight for the unborn and protect innocent life. This made me think of the idea of going into politics, but I never felt it was right for me to or that I was ready to take on that challenge. On this trip, though, I specifically remember listening to Oklahoma State Senator Jett speaking at the Museum of the Bible and something in me changed and I could feel that call to start working towards taking that leap into politics. Without this trip, I do not know what else would have pushed me in the political direction.”
William Shade, Wyoming: “One of the things that I enjoyed so much was getting to be around people my age who are passionate about their faith and passionate about politics. It was so encouraging to be around them and talk about the issues that we face as young Christians who are trying to make America a better place."
