All eyes were on Wisconsin this week, where the grassroots rose up to
defeat Elon Musk, who thought he could buy the crucial State Supreme Court
seat.

Bernie rallied in the state, and Our Revolution made 180,000 calls and
texts to turn out the progressive vote and help elect Judge Susan
Crawford.

“Despite pouring over $20 million into this race, the world’s wealthiest
man failed to secure a conservative majority on the court,” Our Revolution

“This is a victory for abortion access and worker rights, and it’s a
critical referendum on Trump and Musk’s lawless agenda.”

Tesla Takedown actions nationwide.

Musk says he’ll be stepping away from government in the coming weeks.

DEFENDING THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE

Our Revolution recently joined with the American Postal Workers Union to
organize a powerful grassroots Day of Action against privatization
threats and attacks on collective bargaining.

From big cities like New York to small-towns in Iowa, thousands chanted
“The U.S. Mail Is Not for Sale” and vowed to oppose plans by the Trump
regime to dismantle the USPS.

As Mark Dimondstein, President of the APWU, told Our Revolution members at
a recent virtual town hall, “Privatization is a mathematical
equation—shifting public money to Wall Street investors for maximum
profit, not service,” Dimondstein said.

“The administration’s corporate coup is hollowing out essential services,
paving the way for billionaires to cash in while degrading workers'
rights.”

STOP TRUMP’S WAR ON WORKERS

While Donald Trump campaigned as a “worker champion,” he’s stripping union
rights away from federal workers, rolling back organizing reforms passed
by the National Labor Relations Board and gutting the US Department of
Labor.

Former Labor Secretary Julie Su, following up on her remarks at [ [link removed] ]Our
Revolution’s War on Workers Town Hall last month, authored a [ [link removed] ]new
Century Foundation report that describes how Trump’s draconian budget cuts
will give corporate bosses a greenlight to steal worker wages, violate
health and safety standards, and engage in unlawful discrimination.

DEFENDING TRANS CIVIL RIGHTS

On Monday — Transgender Day of Visibility — Our Revolution joined Public
Citizen, Indivisible and other allies to stand in solidarity with the
trans community as MAGA ramps up its attacks.

Our Revolution leader Joseph Geevarghese addressed the crowd on the
National Mall — alongside Reps. Pramila Jayapal, Rashida Tlaib, Summer
Lee, Lateefah Simon, Maxwell Frost and others — to demand the protection
of the civil rights of ALL people.

“The Republican strategy is to divide and distract Americans — to blame
our LGBT+, immigrants and other vulnerable groups for the challenges our
country faces while they pull the rug out from under working families,”
Joseph said.

PROTECTING PUBLIC MEDIA

Donald Trump just unleashed a chilling all-caps Twitter rant demanding
that NPR and PBS be eliminated because they’re "radical left monsters."

Trump’s tweet closely followed a new push by MAGA extremist Marjorie
Taylor Greene to use the imminent reconciliation bill to defund PBS and
NPR.

It’s hard to overstate the significance of this. The chief executive of
PBS recently said, “The future of a number of our stations across the
country will be in jeopardy if this funding is not continued.”

Why target them now? Because Trump and Greene know exactly what's at
stake: unbiased reporting and factual accountability are a massive threat
to the misinformation environment he thrives on.

This is about safeguarding the very foundations of an informed, educated,
and empowered public.

That’s why Our Revolution has been working tirelessly with our partners
Free Press, ACLU, and NABET-CWA to run attention-grabbing demonstrations,
channel enormous pressure onto Congress, and activate our Citizen Action
Team across the country.

POWER-BUILDING IN ST. LOUIS!

Election Day is THIS Tuesday in St. Louis, Missouri — and we’re getting
out the vote to build on the progressive governing majority our movement
has helped elect in the city cycle after cycle!

All four of our endorsed candidates for the St. Louis Board of Alders will
be champions for higher wages, better housing, clean water, and more.

We’re excited to endorse Anne Schweitzer in Ward 1. Since her election in
2021, Anne has been a champion for raising wages, clean water, better
housing, safety and more.

In Ward 11, we’re backing Rebecca McCloud. With her focus on economic
development, mental health, and better food systems, Rebecca will be a
fighter for the people of St. Louis.

In Ward 7, Our Revolution supports Alisha Sonnier, who is dedicated to
youth and family empowerment, equitable development, and housing as a
human right.

And, in Ward 3, Shane Cohn has been a tireless advocate for our
neighborhoods, youth, and public safety for over 15 years. From safer
streets to jobs to defending public resources, Shane gets results.

Our progressive bloc in St. Louis - led by Board of Alders President and
Our Revolution Board Member Megan Green - have already successfully pushed
initiatives for labor, wages, direct democracy, universal basic income and

BARBARA LEE FOR OAKLAND MAYOR!

Our Revolution is proud to be in Barbara Lee’s corner! Barbara is a close
ally and a lifelong leader in progressive politics — and now she’s running
for Mayor of Oakland, CA!

Barbara was the first black woman in Northern California elected to
Congress, where she has put it all on the line to push for peace, stand up
for poor and working people, and advocate for reproductive rights and so
much more.

Barbara Lee is fearless, and we want to see her bring her strength and
experience to the mayor’s seat!

TEXAS ENDORSEMENTS

After packing arenas across the Midwest, Colorado, and Texas — Bernie
called on our movement to turn that energy into electing the next
generation up and down the ballot.

That’s precisely what Bernie founded Our Revolution to do, and 2025 is a
big year for state and local elections to make our communities more
resilient under the Trump regime.

Here’s some of our latest endorsements — in Texas!

First up — our proud endorsement of Laura Cadena in the City Council race
in Dallas.

Laura served in City Hall for eight years and has a deep understanding of
how local government can work hand-in-hand with the community.

From cost of living and affordable housing to climate action and
sustainability, Laura is a champion on the issues that matter most. Now,
she’s running a people-powered campaign to make sure public money serves
the people of Dallas.

Also in Dallas, we’re happy to support Adam Bazaldua for re-election in
District 7.

Adam chaired the Dallas Green Alliance before being elected to the city
council in 2019, where he has served on committees for the environment,
workforce education and equity, economic development, and more.

Adam has brought bold leadership and a vision for progress to City Hall,
and now as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem. We know he will continue to fight
tirelessly for the people of Dallas.

In Fort Worth, we’re putting our support behind Chris Nettles in his run
for re-election to City Council in District 8.

Chris understands that local government must meet the needs of Fort
Worth’s growing population — working to expand public transportation,
increase affordable housing, and grow the number of good-paying jobs.

He’s also developed a 3-step plan to help the houseless population,
providing direct resources for health, skills training, and support for
long-term stability.

The Democratic base is ANGRY. People want to see party leaders take action
and use their power to fight the Trump regime.

Instead, we’re seeing many Democrats at the highest levels CAVE to Trump —
many voting in Congress to confirm his cabinet members and pass the GOP
spending bill.

“Democratic incumbents should absolutely be worried about holding onto
power, because there’s a real energy right now against them,” Paco Fabián,
deputy director of Our Revolution, told the [ [link removed] ]Associated Press. “And as
soon as somebody figures out how to harness it, they’re going to be in
deep trouble.”

After Schumer and 9 Senate Dems gave Trump the votes he needed for the GOP
spending bill, we asked 9,000 Our Revolution supporters what you thought:

• 99% want Dems to fight Trump & Musk more.

•88% think Schumer should step aside or be ousted as Senate Minority
Leader, AND 86% would support a primary challenger against him

•83% would support primaries against all 10 senators who voted for the GOP
spending bill.

Thousands commented, expressing “anger, betrayal, disgust, embarrassment.”
We heard from people of all ages and backgrounds saying they felt “wildly
frustrated and defeated” or stating that “the direction of the Democratic
Party has been a disaster.”

One man told us: "I'm in shock” and asked, “Why do they do this to us?”
One woman described the party as "weak, unorganized, lost.” Another just
wrote a single word: “Cowardice.”

Our Revolution is working from the inside and outside to Transform the
Party. We’ve been getting strong progressives into top party positions —
and we’re organizing NOW to elect the next generation into office now

As the new president of the Association of State Democratic Committees,
Our Revolution board member Jane Kleeb is shaking up Democratic Party
strategy with a bold rural-first reform agenda.

“We’re listening to our members,” Jane said in an interview with [ [link removed] ]Barn
Raiser, emphasizing direct communication with state parties and grassroots
voices long sidelined.

Her approach centers on voter engagement and local empowerment—hallmarks
of her success as Nebraska Party Chair, where she doubled the number of
elected Democrats through innovative programs like the Block Captain
model.

“Democrats don’t have local elected official lists in many states. That is
a priority for me,” she declares, underscoring her mission to rebuild the
party from the county up, not the Beltway down. Her goal: a party rooted
in community, ready to organize and win in every zip code.

Our Revolution Massachusetts is working with the AFL-CIO to elect
delegates committed to a working-class agenda and win much-needed party
reforms.

Every major analysis of the November 2024 election agrees that the
defection of working-class voters from the Democratic Party explains the
disappointing results. This was true in Massachusetts as well.

The Mass AFL-CIO recently asked union members to attend their local
Democratic caucus meetings and run for delegates to the Mass Dems
convention in September.

Mass AFL-CIO hopes a strong turnout of union members and supporters at the
convention will win support for its 2025 Legislative Priorities and a new
RaiseUp initiative to combat offshore tax dodging and make billionaire
global corporations pay their fair share!
