This Earth Month, we're focusing on a simple yet powerful action we can all take to protect animals and our planet: urging coffee chains like Biggby Coffee to get up to speed and stop charging customers extra for plant-based milk.
The environmental benefits of plant-based milk, such as oat milk, are undeniable. Compared to cows’ milk, oat milk production generates three times fewer greenhouse gas emissions, uses 11 times less land, and requires 13 times less water.
In addition to being more sustainable, plant-based milk does not involve the cruel dairy industry, which confines cows in horrible conditions and takes away their newborn calves.
