Texas Senate State Affairs Committee held a public hearing yesterday in the Senate Chamber on the Texas Women's Privacy Act, SB 240, authored by Texas Senator Mayes Middleton. The bill ensures that private spaces, owned or controlled by local or state government, must be designated for use by individuals based on their biological sex. Read more about it on our webpage.

The Texas Values team and allies had a productive time at the Capitol during the first hearing of the Texas Women’s Privacy Act by Senator Mayes Middleton.

Shiloh Satterfield who testified on this issue when she was 10 years old in 2017 at the Texas Capitol and is now a senior at Dripping Springs High School shows her support for the Texas Women's Privacy Act SB 240 by Senator Mayes Middleton. 

"Just in the last 2 weeks the State Preservation Board…did set the rule that people must use the restroom according to their biological sex.

We’re still having instances…we call DPS and they’re saying it’s not against the law…we need a law and not just a rule by a state preservation board.

The radical transgender agenda has gone too far and now people are very aware of it and are pushing back…there’s an outcry...people want this to be fixed." ~ Rep. Valoree Swanson

SB 965 ~ by Senator Tan Parker relating to the right of a public school employee to engage in religious speech or prayer while on duty.

SB 1388 ~ by Senator Lois Kolkhorst relating to family support services provided under a Health and Human Services Commission program.

SB 406 ~ by Senator Mayes Middleton relating to the required inclusion of a person's sex on a birth certificate and prohibited change of sex on the birth certificate of certain persons.
