nationwide are facing an urgent crisis, including in Delaware.

[1]Delaware Food Bank loses nearly 1M meals after Trump administration
ended food aid funding

I recently spoke on the House floor to call out the Trump administration’s
cruel and unnecessary decision to abruptly halt millions of dollars worth
of life-saving food deliveries to food banks.

These deliveries provide millions of meals for families, seniors, and
veterans who rely on food banks to get through the month.

This aid is not abstract — it’s meals on the table.

In February alone, more than 50% of the food the Food Bank of Delaware
distributed came through the USDA. Now, with shipments frozen and no
clarity on whether they will be restored, food banks are being forced to
stretch already-limited resources even further.

At a time when grocery store prices remain high and demand for food
assistance is great, the loss of these shipments could mean fewer meals
for families.

The Trump
administration continues to break its promises to the American people —
not just with words, but with real-world consequences for people who are
already struggling.
