Cory Booker set some new records and Connecticut’s own Chris Murphy led the charge as his special cheerleader with the late night pep talks, a role reversal. You may recall that Murphy Spoke for 14 hrs and 52 minutes following the Pulse nightclub shooting in 2016. Booker has previously condemned the Senate filibuster as an "abuse of power" in 2022. Now he is praised for the longest filibuster in U.S. Senate history.
Booker praised Murphy “I want to thank Sen. Murphy in particular because he’s been with me the whole night. He hasn’t left my side, and in some ways the debt is repaid,” Booker noted that: “His debt is paid, but I’ve got fuel in the tank.”
Murphy aided this process by shepherding Democrat senators to ask Booker questions. Connecticut only makes the news for negative events like the Bridgeport scandals with Wanda the Ballot Stuffer - She’s no Punxsutawney Phil and Connecticut elections are Groundhog Day with the wrong result. It is time to Vote Early CT [ [link removed] ] to counteract the Wanda’s of the world.
At a town hall last week, I got to witness the indivisible democrats of Stamford and others in a mostly homogeneous crew rally to Murphy’s aid in a Democrat tea-party revolt. The Senator noted his privilege and hit the Democrat hot buttons or fear buttons of immigration, abortion, gender, Medicaid and the Democrat rally button Trump and the oligarchs of Elon.
Meanwhile, no one could figure out which bathroom to use! [ [link removed] ]
I was asked by some if I was a paid agitator simply by my attendance and standing in front of a Murphy Town Hall Directional Arrow with Murphy Must Go Signs in the background.

I was not wearing any Republican paraphernalia (I was even wearing blue). I asked if they were paid to attend as we have found at many of these events with pristine flyers and paid calls to action for a Tesla Tirade [ [link removed] ].
The fear was mongered hard by Murphy and is the same fear mongered by Booker that all benefits will go and Trumps cronies will get rich.
Republicans vowed not to cut Medicaid.
“Medicaid is hugely problematic because it has a lot of fraud, waste and abuse. Everybody knows that,” Speaker Mike Johnson said during a news conference this week noting that “No one else has said anything else, except the Democrats, who have ads out there lying about the intention here.”
The health care playbook is a re-tread.
Here in Connecticut most know Medicaid as Husky as CT rebranded that insurance to make it seem as it’s a state funded program (a genius move).
What concerns Nutmeggers I have encountered on the campaign trail for my father and knocking most recently for Senator Jason Perillo’s special election is that no one is opposed to Medicaid, but “conservatives” don’t want wasteful spending and illegals with better coverage than they have.
I spoke with one nutmegger from Shelton who works in Bridgeport and knows countless CT residents that won’t take jobs because they will lose their coverage immediately if they take full time employment for one of two reasons: 1) These jobs have a vesting period to be eligible for healthcare or 2) They are inferior plans to Husky.
Health insurance is one of the highest expenses to Americans after housing, and Americans keep getting sicker.
Back to Booker
After Booker’s record performance, I was hit with multiple fear based messages for money.
Here’s one gem from Cory:
“it’s Cory Booker.
I just walked off the Senate floor.
I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent. We must speak up.
I am filled with hope. My team just told me that tens of thousands of you have voiced your support for my remarks on the Senate floor.
It will be a while before I can fully get through all your messages and powerful stories, but what’s clear to me tonight is this is just the beginning. Americans across this country, no matter their title or party, are ready to be heard.
I believe that history will show we rose to meet this moment.
It will show we did not let the chaos and division go unanswered.
It will show that when Donald Trump chose to spread lies and sow fear, we chose to come together, to work together, and to rise together.
If you support our movement for justice, opportunity, and freedom, add your name to stand with me.
With love and gratitude,
Cory
Stop to Quit”
It was a good message but I was not motivated to go to act blue and support Booker.
The real question is what can you do?
Take action and register new voters. I have formed a PAC with other fed up Nutmeggers called Vote Early CT [ [link removed] ] - it’s time to mobilize and add new voters (not like the illegal ones added at the Border to sway the presidential election) check out the site, reach out and let’s hit the ground running now. There will be a separate article on this. In the meanwhile, check it out, join the FB page [ [link removed] ] and support it - Time to Get off the sidelines!
Come join us. Complaining and Complacency got us here. Grass roots will get us back.
In the meantime, if you know places or own businesses throughout Connecticut where we can set up to register those to vote let us know. We are getting shut out by the other side with their pizza bribes like they did on college campuses here at UCONN [ [link removed] ].
Fight Back, Take Back CT and let’s get some new voters. The existing ones are bought and paid for, or too lazy to vote as they don’t think their vote matters.
Thank you for your continued support and please reach out for assistance. Please subscribe and spread the word as we need your support to grow this message.
Dr. Michael Goldstein & Jonathan Goldstein
The father-son team continues on so please spread the word and lets really rebuild CT and this country together in a meaningful way.
