I’ve been overwhelmed by the support from this team over the last 24 hours, and I wanted to say thank you, team.

Again and again, folks like you have had my back. With your grassroots support, we’ve won four times in one of the most competitive Congressional districts in the nation — together we’ll win a seat in the U.S. Senate. Now as we embark on our next challenge, I want to share a few fun facts about myself to help you get to know me:

* I worked at my family’s restaurant growing up, and after college returned to Manchester to run the business. The Puritan is a staple in Manchester. I’m proud of all my family has done there — from inventing the chicken tender to hosting community events for countless folks over the past four generations.
* I’m an avid runner. I’ve run the Boston & NYC Marathons, and my team (Run Free or Die) took first place among House offices in last year’s Capital Challenge Race.
* I may be slightly competitive. I even won the Congressional Spelling Bee!
* I’m a HUGE “Golden Girls” fan. I can also quote every episode of “Seinfeld.”
* I love sweets. I personally crafted more than 30,000 gallons of ice cream annually at the Puritan for several years right out of college.
* I’m an animal lover. My husband and I have an adorable cat named Dorothy (who is being very distracting as I type this email).

I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you better as I hit the campaign trail. I’ll be continuing to visit with folks from across the state and hearing from you about the issues that matter most to your families.
