We are excited to host a film screening of "NEW WAVE" on Saturday, April 5, with filmmaker Elizabeth Ai to explore the Asian American experience through music, resilience, and identity.
On Monday, April 21, we’re hosting We Are Not OK, an evening featuring Vietnamese American storyteller Susan Lieu and award-winning filmmaker Elizabeth Ai. Through art, memoir, and conversation, they’ll delve into themes of identity, resilience, and the courage to break intergenerational cycles.
Then, on Saturday, April 26, join us at American University for In Conversation with Susan Lieu, a deep dive into her memoir, The Manicurist’s Daughter. This intimate event will explore family, healing, and how we reclaim our stories as children of immigrants.
These events invite us to honor the past and reimagine what legacy can look like for ourselves and our communities. As you reflect on these stories, we encourage you to take a meaningful step toward writing your own. Through our partnership with FreeWill, you can create or update your will in just 20 minutes—at no cost.Â
This simple act ensures your wishes are honored and the causes you care about, including OCA’s fight for justice, are empowered for generations to come.
