Dear neighbor,

Donald Trump’s new indiscriminate tariffs are nothing short of economic sabotage. Experts estimate that these tariffs could cost the average American family nearly $4,000 a year. We are already witnessing the consequences – plunging markets, rising prices, and growing fears of a recession.

House Republicans have the power to stop this madness. I’m urging Speaker Johnson to bring legislation to the floor to block these reckless Trump tariffs. My Republican colleagues need to put country over party and stand up for the people they represent. Check out my response to Trump’s harmful tariffs.

HEGSETH AND WALTZ MUST GO: New reporting this week revealed the Trump Administration has used multiple Signal group chats and personal Gmail accounts for official business. This a dangerous betrayal of public trust. They want to sweep this under the rug. We can’t let them. I went on MSNBC last weekend to continue holding this Administration accountable. GLIMMER OF HOPE: This week, every House Democrat voted against House Republican leadership’s rule to make it harder for new parents in Congress to vote. Our united stand forced Speaker Johnson to halt the rest of their harmful legislation this week, including efforts to increase bank fees and restrict voting access. Add in Senator Booker’s history-making floor speech and the growing public pushback against Elon Musk’s overhaul of the federal government – and you get a clear message: we’re fired up and are not backing down.
