We invite you to join the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) for our upcoming Legislative Advocacy Training hosted by our Policy & Advocacy team.
📅 Date: Thursday, April 17, 2025
🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 1:15 PM (MT)
This focused training session will provide an overview of legislative advocacy, including:
· How a bill becomes a law in New Mexico
· How to identify and connect with your state district legislators
· Advocacy best practices
· A review of bills CSVANW has supported in previous sessions
By deepening our understanding of the legislative process, we move closer to our mission of eradicating violence against Native women and children. Through education and collective action, we champion social change and strive to create violence-free communities where Native families can thrive.
This training reflects our values of Innovation, as we engage in bold action to influence change; Kinship, as we uphold the dignity of our communities; and Healing, as we build pathways to safer futures.
