YARMOUTH - The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing paving work and pedestrian safety improvements on Routes 1, 88 and 115. The work areas include: Princes Point Road (Route 88) to Falls Bridge over Royal River, Marina Road (Route 115) from Main Street to Route 88, and Route 1 from Portland Street to Forest Drive Falls. Traffic from Marina Drive will be detoured to Route 115. There will be a single lane of alternating traffic on Route 88. Traffic on Route 1 will maintain two lanes where possible. Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 15th and is anticipated to be completed in July. The contractor on this project is Coastal Road Repair of Westbrook. The contract amount is approximately $1.8 million.
