Gen Z Women Rejected Pro-Abortion Messaging in 2024, Election Data Shows

By: Emily Washburn

Post-election data shows pro-abortion messaging failed to galvanize young women in the 2024 election cycle, suggesting Gen Z women care far less about — or for — pro-abortion policies than political strategists expected.

It’s big news — but pollsters, per usual, are missing the point.

David Shor, head data scientist at a prominent Democrat consulting firm, joined The New York Times’ Ezra Klein last week to break down last year’s decisive presidential election. The two acknowledged young voters became more conservative but, like most analysts, attributed the shift primarily to young men.

It’s true: men aged 18 to 29 moved further right then their female counterparts — about 15 points, according to Tufts University’s Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE).

But Gen Z women also became significantly more conservative.

Seeking God’s Wisdom in a World Full of Fools
By: Paul Batura

Many historians trace April Fools’ Day back to 1500s France and the introduction of the Gregorian Calendar. It seems some of the French were unaware of the change and continued using the old Julian calendar, including celebrating the new year on April 1 instead of January 1.

Their ignorance earned them the nickname of being “April fools” — and thus the tradition of concocting hoaxes on the date was born.

Nobody wants to be considered a fool, but as sinful and fallen people, we do foolish things all the time.

The Bible pulls no punches when it comes to warning us about the folly of unwise and reckless behavior. In Scripture, fools deny God’s existence altogether or outright ignore His teaching, spend little or no time discerning His perspective and seem either disinterested or oblivious to the short or long-term consequences of their worldly behavior.

In other words, ours is a world full of fools.

Yet with the rise of social media, never have so many been given a platform to broadcast so broadly their foolishness.

From mainstream media to academia to entertainment and science, we’re bombarded with both overt and covert inanity.

Solomon noted, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7). James wrote, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach and it will be given him” (1:5).

Colorado Pro-Abortion Politician: Abortion is Cheaper for the State
By: Nicole Hunt

Earlier this week, the speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives gave testimony in support of public tax dollars going to fund abortion.

She then admits it’s cheaper for the state to pay for abortions than pay for a baby to be born.

Colorado abortion activists are so brazen, they have no problem saying the quiet part out loud.

In the video, the pro-abortion lawmaker explains, “Ultimately, the state will see a cost savings. A birth is more expensive than an abortion.”

The “savings” comes from “averted births” because “the abortions happen instead.”

If your instinctual response to that argument is to recoil in shock and disgust, good — that means you have an intact conscience.

If the same “cost savings” argument were applied to the disabled or to those that suffer from chronic medical conditions, there would be an uproar — and rightly so.

It’s a dehumanizing argument meant to justify the death of an entire segment of the human population based on the idea that it would be cheaper if we didn’t have to care for them at all.

Jim Daly, President of Focus on the Family, told the Daily Citizen, “As Christians, we know that every human being is made in the image of God with intrinsic value and worth, and that distinction begins in the womb.”

Kentucky Lawmakers Vote to Return Ten Commandments Monument to State Capitol
By: Zachary Mettler

A resolution to bring back the Ten Commandments to the Kentucky Capitol, which was approved overwhelming by the state’s Legislature, became law last week.

The Legislature passed Kentucky House Joint Resolution 15 (HJR 15) which calls for a “return for permanent display on the New State Capitol grounds the granite Ten Commandments monument given to the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1971 by the Fraternal Order of Eagles.”

The Kentucky House approved the resolution on February 19 in a 79-13 vote, while the state Senate approved it on March 13 in a 32-6 vote. The bill became law on March 27 without Gov. Andy Beshear’s signature.

The monument, gifted by the non-profit organization over five decades ago, was removed in the 1980s due to a construction project.

In 2000, a legislative resolution signed into law required the monument be returned to the Capitol grounds for permanent display. However, a federal appeals court, relying on the Lemon test, blocked the resolution.

The Lemon test, created by the U.S. Supreme Court in the 1971 case Lemon v. Kurtzman, called for a three-part inquiry into whether a law violated the Constitution’s Establishment Clause, examining (1) whether the law had a secular purpose, (2) if its effect was to advance or inhibit religion and (3) whether it excessively entangled the church and state.

New Video Equips Parents and Counselors to Help ‘Gender Dysphoric’ Children
By: Jeff Johnston

“Gender dysphoria” is the psychiatric term for a mental health disorder.

Individuals have thoughts and feelings that cause them to reject their bodily male or female sex; they attempt to identify as either the opposite sex, neither or something in-between.

For decades now, transgender activists and their allies claim the only way to help those struggling with this confusion is to agree with them. They claim we must help these individuals attempt to live and look like the opposite sex through social transitioning and damaging medical interventions.

But there are alternatives.

Julie Hamilton, a licensed marriage and family therapist with a private practice in South Florida, provides this much-needed alternative.

Gender Identity 101, offers guidance for parents and therapists who want to help children embrace their bodily masculinity or femininity.

Hamilton has been practicing therapy since 1995 and educating others about sexuality and “gender” since 2003.

Gender Identity 101 gives a Christian and therapeutic view of sexual identity concerns, helps parents and therapists understand the issues surrounding transgenderism and explains the best approach for gender dysphoric children and teens.
