Dear John,
My name is Stacy, and I live in Flagstaff, a small city in rural northern Arizona. For the past few years, I have been deeply concerned about the state of our democracy. Through my work as a trained speech-language pathologist serving the disabled community in rural areas, and as a campaign staffer and volunteer at every level of government, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting plenty of other Arizonans who share these same concerns. Some of them aren’t able to vote yet, but they still care deeply about the future of our country. I know in my heart that we are not alone.
There is hope. And the best antidote for anger and fear is action.
That’s why, after 25 years as a speech therapist, I made the decision to leave my career behind and fully dedicate myself to political organizing. As my former boss, former Congressional Candidate for AZ-02 and former Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez, often told voters: “Warrior Up!” Now, I am honored to bring that same spirit to The Union as your new West Regional Organizer.
I have experience at every level of grassroots organizing, from being a precinct captain in my neighborhood to working on federal campaigns. I’ve seen firsthand that when passionate individuals like us unite for a meaningful cause, there’s nothing we can’t achieve. I firmly believe in the power of collective action. I am committed to supporting you as we work together to protect and strengthen our democracy for future generations, ensuring it remains a vibrant reality rather than a fading memory.
