On Tuesday, Republicans canceled all votes in the House of Representatives for the week — sowing more chaos. They canceled votes because they knew they could not pass their legislation on the floor of the House; even losing their own caucus members who pledged to vote against them. This is because the Republican agenda is so dangerous and reckless for everyday families.

While the Republicans continue their agenda with the Republican Rip-Off, prices are increasing. Eggs and gas continue to become more expensive. On top of that, Trump imposed massive tariffs on U.S. consumers, including many people in Northwest Washington, which will only raise costs.

This is the Trump and Republican Rip-Off economic plan — put the people last. They want to push forward with a tax cut for the wealthiest corporations and richest Americans, and turn their backs on hardworking families. My family has called Northwest Washington home for more than 100 years, I will never forget the people of Northwest Washington and our shared values. The values of service and community shape my priorities in Congress. I am guided by the lessons I learned growing up in the Pacific Northwest as I fight to lower costs for hard-working families.

I am standing up for the values of Northwest Washington and standing against Trump and the Republican Rip-Off.
