The Knox family of narcotics vaults – the Knox MedVault (for mobile applications) and StationVault (for in-building applications) – are now available with badge reader access capabilities to EMS providers throughout Canada.
The Knox MedVault and StationVault are secure vaults that can control access to controlled substances, reducing drug diversion and helping EMS providers comply with federal regulations. Until now, that access could be granted only through authorized PIN codes with a key back-up. Now, Knox narcotics safes can be equipped with a badge reader and existing safes can be retrofitted with that capability.
The vaults equipped with a badge reader are equipped with a combination credential reader and touch keypad that enables true two-factor authentication. The reader is compatible with more than 70 formats of proximity and smart card credentials, including badges, fobs and mobile phones capable of RF communication.
Knox narcotic vaults gather data automatically via KnoxConnect software to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce reliance on manual record-keeping for chain-of-custody tracking. KnoxConnect provides notifications and reports that can be customized to your needs and has the ability to share relative data with several narcotics tracking software solutions on the market today for full chain of custody reporting.
