Todmorden Country Fair is an annual event that, this year, has a bizarre and cruel programme of animal ‘entertainment’ planned - advertising camel racing, a mobile zoo, and a strange performance in which birds of prey are trained to fly through a horse’s legs! 

We need your help to stop this cruelty from going ahead!

At Freedom for Animals, we oppose all forms of animal exploitation, and we know you will join us in opposing these cruel plans! That is why today, we are launching an important public action so that you, our supporters, and members of the public can easily contact the fair’s organisers to voice your disgust at this planned animal exploitation.

'Free Spirits' Live Horse and Falcon Experience - This performance combines equestrian dressage with falconry, boasting that the falcons will fly through the horse’s legs at 100mph. There is growing opposition to dressage skills due to the difficult and unnatural positions they force horses into, and the combination of falconry with this adds another disturbing element to the display. 

We must try to stop this cruelty, and to do that we need your help.
