On Tuesday, Joe Biden formally addressed the country for the first time since the pandemic began -- and many say he sounded just like the next president.
 
Biden spoke of a country “crying out for leadership.” He condemned Donald Trump making America into a “battlefield,” asking, “Is this who we are? Is this who we want to be? Is this what we want to pass on to our children and our grandchildren?”
 
The former vice president ended on a hopeful note despite the current conflict, saying, “We’re a nation enraged, but we cannot let our rage consume us. We’re a nation that’s exhausted, but we will not allow our exhaustion to defeat us.”
