“A raucous, loud, rollicking protest with a good sense of humor.”
Hey john,
Yep, that was the Abortion Access Front crew at the Supreme Court that Rachel Maddow was cheering on last night!! Because when the anti-abortion haters try to get loud in front of the courts, AAF shows up bigger, louder, and funnier to block their hate-filled disinformation with our great signs and spicy shenanigans.
Yesterday, while the Supreme Court heard oral arguments for Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic—a case that could gut access to reproductive healthcare for Medicaid patients, AAF rallied alongside abortion providers, repro rights activists, and legal experts to drown out the icky opposition’s lies with music and chants led by Mife, our singing and dancing abortion pill (yes, that’s our very own Moji Alawode-El from Feminist Buzzkills).
Meanwhile, our our team of guerilla activists infiltrated the Senate offices to confront politicians like Senators Chuck Schumer and Michelle Fischbach who have definitely not been standing strong for reproductive health care. We challenged these lawmakers to make the life-or-death decisions they’ve allowed the government to take out of the hands of actual doctors.
But we’re not done yet! If you’re in the DC area, it’s not too late to get tickets to tonight’s podcast taping of—BOOM! BUZZKILLED: MICRODOSING THE ROEPOCALYPSE—at the Black Cat, a live mash up of the Boom! Lawyered and Feminist Buzzkills baddies. Lizz Winstead, Moji Alawode-El, Imani Gandy, and Jessica Pieklo will cut through SCOTUS chaos with expert analysis, breaking down what the SCOTUS case means for abortion access—and what terrifying legal loopholes anti-abortion extremists might try next.
And if you can’t make it live, catch this incredible show on Friday’s podcast!
Thanks for making all our work possible. We will never stop fighting, and that's a promise!
With love and outrage,
Team AAF
