I’m Congressman Chris Pappas, and End Citizens United said I could reach out with some big news:
I’m officially running to be New Hampshire’s next U.S. Senator. I’m going to share more about why I’m in this race, but if you’re already on board, split a contribution to my campaign and End Citizens United today.
I’m running for Senate because at this pivotal moment, our economy, our democracy, and our way of life are on the line. New Hampshire deserves a Senator who is grounded in the people, places, and values of this state – and one who is ready to lead on day one.
Our country is at a crossroads, and the decisions we make now will have generational impacts. You can count on me to continue taking on big fights and to confront the Trump Administration, self-dealing billionaires, and extreme politicians who are threatening our future and our ability to get things done for New Hampshire.
Can I count on you to become a Founding Donor to my campaign with a $5 contribution, split between my campaign and End Citizens United right now? We can’t win this race without major grassroots support.
These fights are deeply personal to me. My family immigrated from Greece and opened a restaurant in Manchester 108 years ago, a small business that remains at the heart of the community today. Running that small business showed me the power of hard work and serving others, but the opportunity that my ancestors and so many others like them sought has never been further away – and the Trump Administration is too busy cutting deals for their billionaire buddies to give a damn.
I’m also openly gay and happily married to my husband, Vann. With the current wave of hateful policies leveled at the LGBTQ+ community, I know how important representation is at this moment. If elected, I’d be the first openly gay male U.S. Senator in history – a badge of honor I’d wear proudly as I advocate for full equality.
I am the proud product of public education, and I come from a family of business owners (my grandfather invented the chicken tender at the restaurant – seriously!). I understand firsthand the need to support neighborhood schools and small businesses in our community. These are the lifeblood of our economy and the pillars of opportunity for everyone.
My life experiences are what led me to successfully run for four terms in Congress and win in one of the “swingiest” districts in the nation. Before I won my election in 2018, no one had managed to hold the seat for more than one term for more than a decade. I’m no stranger to tough electoral fights. Now I’m ready to take on the fight to keep New Hampshire’s Senate seat blue.
We can’t afford to sit on the sidelines of the big fights ahead – not with so much at stake, from the rising costs debilitating working families to the threats to the future of our democracy. We’ve taken on big fights together in Congress. Now it’s time to win this critical Senate seat so we can keep standing up to the Trump Administration and the self-dealing billionaires threatening our future. Can I count on you to join the fight?
If you’re with me, let’s make a powerful statement together and prove that we’re ready to win this race. Become a Founding Donor with a $5 donation to my campaign and End Citizens United now.
Thank you again to End Citizens United for letting me reach out today.
With gratitude,
Chris
