96 [link removed] Fellow American,
Our Nebraska
GOP convention certainly looks different this weekend than we imagined
it would several months ago. Instead of meeting in person, we’re doing
an online format, as we are still working on recovering from the
COVID-19 shutdown.
My heart and prayers are with the families who
lost loved ones to this terrible disease.
All Nebraskans have been
hit hard by the coronavirus — the shutdown to flatten the curve has
affected everyone and it’s done a number on our economy. Especially
those in agriculture, which is our great state’s economic backbone.
Our producers, our corn farmers, and our ethanol plants are hurting.
When they suffer, our entire state does too.
Small business across
the state and the rest of America have also been struggling to make it
through this challenging time.
But we’re coming together as
communities, and supporting one another. This virus can’t change our
resilience. Neighbors are still helping neighbors.
Our amazing
healthcare workers and first responders are working all hours to keep us
healthy and safe. Food banks are stepping up to fill in the gaps and
keep our families fed.
It’s easy to forget with all the things that
have happened this year that we have a presidential election only five
months away. I am so glad that you’re here and on board to help re-elect
President Trump, and keep Nebraska red.
It’s more important than ever
to elect principled, conservative leaders, who will always put people
above petty politics. We need to work together to recover and Keep
America Great.
I’m sad I can’t be with everyone in person this
weekend for our convention, but I’m grateful for technology that lets me
connect with you through video.
Please take a few short moments to
watch my message to Nebraskans, and forward to your family and friends.
