Last week, Common Cause put a line in the sand – presidents don’t set election laws.

In response to an executive order from President Donald Trump that attempts to overturn voting laws in all 50 states, Common Cause President and CEO Virginia Kase Solomón and Common Cause staff in Michigan, Connecticut, Oregon, California, Colorado and Ohio all went on the record about how disastrous the executive order is. Town halls are chaos right now! Both Democrats and Republicans are getting roasted by voters. Democrats are being asked why they aren’t fighting harder against unelected bureaucrat Elon Musk. And Republicans are getting asked the same – including why they are allowing cuts to veterans and Social Security!
