The peace vigil, which runs from Monday 14th April to Saturday 26th April, has different events each day from protest choirs, to a Greenham Women’s day, actions against war crimes and genocide, a faiths day and an international peace conference.
The Lakenheath Alliance for Peace (which includes XR Peace & XRUK) is hosting the camp in Brandon, Suffolk. Book a spot in the event campsite for £10 per night, including free transport to and from Lakenheath USAF base. There are also homestays for those who need it. You must book in advance to camp or homestay.
The camp can be reached via a free shuttle service from Brandon railway station. You can apply for a bursary to help with travel costs here.

Escalating war and climate chaos
Lakenheath USAF is the biggest US airbase in Europe and deploys weapons and military aircraft to conflicts around the world, including Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, the Middle East and East Africa.
The return of nuclear weapons to the base will only escalate global tensions, grow the fossil fuel industry, and accelerate a nuclear arms race when we should be coming together to tackle the Climate and Nature Emergency.
Come and join the Lakenheath Peace Camp to peacefully protest against this.
