This week, Josh announced the appointment of three judges to Hawaii state courts — two to vacancies on the Intermediate Court of Appeals and one to the Third Circuit Court.

“Taryn Gifford and Karin Holma are highly accomplished legal professionals whose knowledge, experience, and dedication to justice will serve the people of Hawaii well on the Intermediate Court of Appeals,” Josh said. “Alongside Kauanoe Jackson’s nomination to the Circuit Court, these appointments underscore my commitment to selecting strong, fair-minded, and highly qualified individuals to serve in our courts. I am proud to nominate these three exceptional women to the bench.”

Governor Green also declared April to be Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Hawaii — in a continuing effort to bring greater support to survivors of sexual assault.

“Survivors deserve to heal with dignity, knowing they are not alone,” Governor Green said. “Support is available, and no one should feel ashamed to seek help.”
