This headline from 2021 didn’t age so well for Mayor Adams, John.

As we’re all learning this morning, Mayor Adams has announced his plans to continue running for re-election — but this time, as an Independent. I suppose when it comes to political parties, the third time’s the charm for Adams (who was a Republican before he was a Democrat).

Here’s a promise, John: when I’m Mayor, you’ll never have to guess whose side I’m really on. Rush a one-time contribution of $10 to my campaign so I can end the chaos at City Hall.

This move is just another line in the folios of Eric Adams’ corruption, chaos, and calamity. But look, he could run on any ticket, and his loyalties would remain the same: to himself and Donald Trump, not to New Yorkers or our city.
